Ever Tried Moving with a Toddler???

I am going to start by saying yes, I should be busy doing something productive, but I seriously need some "blog time" this morning!! :)

So I realize that I have had quite awhile to work on packing because it took forever to close, but...if you have ever moved with a toddler you realize that you NEED all of that time!!! Kamie has been soooo good the last few days. The normal I want mommy, I'm hanging onto her pant leg all day hasn't been the case. (excpet when she is so tired that she is over it all) She has played on her own and we haven't had many fits at all! She hasn't had a good nap (I consider good to be 2+ hours) all week and has been waking up early, but she is hanging in there.
HOWEVER, she has been wanting to "help" Mommy with packing. I honestly think Papaw packed and repacked a bag 4 times yesterday!! K just thought it was so much fun pulling everything out of the boxes! One day she was actually helping by bringing me stuff from her room, but then she thought we should pack EVERYTHING from her room. I'm sure that box has a few diapers, barrettes, and maybe even a shoe or two in it. I have had many laughs with Kamie the last week, a few sighs of frustration, and just a couple of tears. She has definitely made this move memorable!

Then she realizes that she is missing out on some fun! She loved sitting in the boxes! She would carry this lid around the house and use it to sit in. :)

So my advice to someone who is getting ready to move AND you have a toddler around the house.... Either 1. start months in advance 2. learn to laugh it all off or 3. send them away for a week while you pack :)

By the way, Kamie has been a huge help while I am unpacking at the new house!!! We have those boxes emptied in no time at all!
