Over the past few weeks I have been reading some of my friends 11 month posts for their "babies" and couldn't help but think that I had plenty of time until Kamie turned 11 months. Not so true. I kind of think that this month has gone by especially quick. I have been so busy thinking about Kamie turning one that I let this month pass by me.
This month has been fun to watch K "fine tune" some of her skills! She stands up with ease and is even walking along the furniture. She eats pretty much anything we give her (except potatoes... not her mother's daughter!) and is great with her pincer fingers. She is really letting us know what she wants by pointing or even getting something herself. (ie snacks from her diaper bag) She makes us laugh so often with her special personality. She definitely knows the difference between right and wrong. She even knows when to be cute after she has done something she isn't supposed to so that Mommy and Daddy don't get mad. This is very hard for Nate especially!! Just recently she has started crawling away as fast as she can when she has something that she knows she shouldn't (like paper). She giggles like it is a fun game and when we chase after her she just goes faster! Now how can we get upset with her?!
Here are some of Kamie's favorites for the month -
- Eating!
- Pulling EVERYTHING out of the diaper bag! (or any cabinet, drawer, laundry basket, etc)
- Playing peek-a-boo on her own!
- Playing outside! (especially in Mamaw's little pool)
- Dancing to music!
- ABC song! (this can calm her down from any fit)
- Throwing things! (She has always done this, but it has recently become a constant thing.)
- Still loves her orange ball!
- Pretending that she is going to share then taking it away! (actually makes her laugh)
- Cartoons!
- Bath time!
- Baby Einstein book with classical music!
- Train that plays music!
- Going through the car wash! (she screams!!)
- Having the cabinet doors secured shut!
- Being confined (ie car seat, someone's lap, stoller) for any amount of time!
- Getting her diaper changed! (still)
- Wearing clips in her hair!
