Plan B

So Kamie's birthday didn't go exactly as planned..... Plan A was to get her up and get her 1 year pictures done first thing in the morning. When we got home we were going to wake Daddy up and go to the zoo. After the zoo, we were going to go out to dinner with Nana and Poppy! All the while spoiling her rotten!
Well, K had a different agenda yesterday. When she wasn't up at 9:00, I decided to try to gently wake her. (She likes to wake up on her own terms.) As soon as I picked her up, I knew she wasn't feeling well. She was burning up! I decided to try a bath and see if she felt better. She seemed to so we (Nana and I) packed up and took her to get her pictures taken anyway. BIG MISTAKE!! After we got there, the poor thing just cried and cried. She is usually a little ham when she goes for her pictures, not this time. She wasn't even interested in her cake. So we packed her back in the car and took the sick little birthday girl home. She went right down for a nap and slept the whole day! After calling the dr. (because her temp. wasn't going down) he said that it was probably just a virus that had to run its course and to keep tylenol and motrin in her. Poor baby was sick on her 1st birthday!
After she finally woke up and took some more medicine, she started feeling better. We took her out to eat and she livened up quite a bit. She was able to open a few presents and enjoy some mac & cheese and cinnamon apples! yum! yum!
We will see what today has in store for us. Hopefully she will be feeling better for her party!!
