So I am not technically doing a monthly post for Kamie, but I wanted to update you on what she has been up to! :) It has been an exciting month for all of us! Kamie is growing by the day and surprising us with new things all the time.
She has started the "I want Mommy" stage again. I have been a little more patient with it this time (she was 6 months old last time we went through this). I realize that she is only little for a little while longer!! It also helps that she can follow me everywhere I go. :) Because Daddy has been gone a lot lately she has really latched onto me. She has developed a strong dislike for strangers. She HATES the doctor, the doctors office, and the nurses. She literally turnded a very dark shade of red last time we were in there. She also HATES the picture people at JCP! It is very hard for mommy to see her this way.
She has developed quite an attitude since turning a year old. Kamie has decided not to wait for age 2 to throw her fits. :) She honestly acts like she has anger management issues sometimes. j/k I have a feeling we are going to have our hands full with this one! :) She has no patience (not sure where she got that from...mom, dad, both??). She also doesn't like to be told no. Let's just say that mommy, daddy, and Kamie all have a pretty strong will and there is a fight to see whose is stronger at least once a day. Along with her "colorful" personality as we have always called it, we see determination in K! If she wants something done, she will get it done! We pray every night that God will use her strong will and determination for His good.
Kamie is quite the "talker." She starts from the minute she wakes up! She lays in bed and just babbles until she realizes she's hungary and wants up. She is saying many words already. Some of these are mostly understood just by mommy, daddy, and grandparents! (ball, done, down, cheese, teeth, hi, dadda, kitty, moo, thanks, bath, mmm, this...these are the ones I can think of right now) She also signs several words.(up, done, eat, drink, dog, more, please) There really isn't any tme of day that I can think of that K isn't talking. :) Kamie loves singing as well. Her favorite songs right not are If You're Happy and You Know It, BINGO, ABC. Many times if her cds are playing you can hear her singing along. (sooo cute)
Kamie isn't walking yet, but I don't think it will be long. She walks along everything, even the walls. She has been standing by herself more everyday. She has even tried climbing onto things! (like the couch, bathtub, and kitchen chairs) She thinks it is very funny to walk on her knees.
Some of K's favorite games are peek-a-boo, chase Kamie, and copy cat (I make a sound and she repeats it). She has really started LOVING books and puzzles! I have really enjoyed having her bring a book to me and climb into my lap. If you would have told me 2 months ago that she would do this, I would have laughed at you!! She loves her purses! It is so cute to see her fill them up (or empty them) and put them over her shoulder. She has also decided to sit in her bumbo seat again. She pulls it out and tries to climb in. She will do the same thing with the Boppy pillow. :)
It has been a very fun month watching K grow and do new things. The biggest milestone is probably getting rid of the bottle and drinking milk. She also decided that she was too big for baby food this month. We can't wait to see what the next month will have in store for us!

k you are getting so big and doing so many new things! it is so fun to watch you and graham grow up and play together! we can't wait for many more fun days and to see what you will be going next!
