This is a little past due...sorry!
First, I want to say that we are so thankful for our Lord and Savior! He died for us and rose again 3 days later! Without that special gift we would all be doomed for an eternity in hell. We want to make sure Kamie always knows that Easter is about Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and not just about the bunny and eggs. I liked that Pastor Bill called it Resurrection Sunday this morning instead of Easter Sunday! We had a wonderful church service remembering all that He went through for us!
We did do a few traditional Easter things with Kamie this weekend. We met Nana and Poppy at Arbuckle Park and participated in the egg hunt. It was pretty chilly out, but K didn't mind at all! :) She had her basket (thank you Lindsey!) and was ready to go. The park was absolutely PACKED with kids!!! I was afraid Kamie would freak out a little, but she did great. She took Nana by the hand and picked up candy after candy. She was very OCD about it all. She had to go in order so she didn't get any eggs, but I was more interested in the candy anyway! She even helped a little boy by putting some candy in his basket too. :)
After the hunt, we stayed and let K play at the park for a little while. Auntie Patsy joined us and Kamie was so excited to see her!! We all had a great time watching her run around and play. After bribing her with lunch to get her to leave, Nana and Poppy took Kamie back to their house while Mommy did some quick shopping at "Ma-Mawt" as Kamie calls it.
Kamie also enjoyed coloring some eggs with Nana and Poppy. She got some new summer toys in her Easter baskets and maybe a little candy to share with Mom and Dad! :)
Kamie enjoyed showing Mamaw and Papaw all her eggs when they stopped by on their way home from Florida!
What a wonderful weekend!!
Finding lots of candy!
