20 weeks!

This post is a little past due since I am now 21w1d, so please forgive me! I was waiting to put the ultrasound pics on and couldn't get my scanner to work.

Here are a few baby "bump" pictures. (If you can call it a bump anymore!) We are very excited that we are having another little girl. My mother-in-law just came over today to help me sort through all our baby stuff. It was fun to look at the tiny clothes and remember K in them, but it was also exciting to picture the new baby in them as well! We have a theme started for her room already! I'm really excited to get it started! It is still hard to imagine myself with 2 children. I feel like with 1 baby, you are still a cute young couple with a baby. When you have 2, you are a complete family and seem MUCH older!

What's going on with Peanut?

Lanugo forms from sebum and skin cells to create vernix. This creamy white substance is believed to help protect the baby. It will cling to the lanugo and in the creases. This is also something that can be seen sometimes after the birth. Rumor has it that nursery nurses use it for hand lotion, because of its smooth, protective quality.

You may be aware of sleep wake cycles in your little one. Peanut weighs 11 oz and about 9.8 inches.

What's going on with Mom?

I am feeling really well right now. I had a few days of getting sick this week, but nothing that lasted throughout the day. I still have trouble with my SI joint, but frequent sessions with a PT help a lot! Sleeping has not been fun, just because I'm a tummy sleeper. I had the same troubles with K. I actually enjoy the fact that my belly is big enough to look pregnant now. I don't just look like I have a beer belly! :)
I feel her move some, but not a lot. This is partially due to where my placenta is located right now. We are praying that it "migrates" in the next few weeks. I was diagnosed with placenta previa, but we are just watching it for now. (Please join us in praying!)
I haven't had many cravings. I really enjoy fruit, popsicles, and any kind of fruit snacks! I also crave a Mt. Dew every once in awhile! The only thing I can't stand is eggs! (which I don't like to begin with) This was true with Kamie as well.
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as I know this "feeling good phase" will not last forever! :)

I want to say that my placenta didn't migrate until a couple of weeks before he was born. I tried looking at my past blog posts but couldn't find the exact week. I was pretty worried about it but God knew what he was doing, as always.
