We decided to start transitioning Kamie into a toddler bed tonight in order to get her ready for a twin bed in a few months. We have a twin bed and figured we could save some money by giving the crib to the baby and just putting K in the twin. Hopefully it goes as smoothly as I have planned in my head! :)
When Poppy started working on Kamie's crib, she was right there ready to help. She LOVES to help Poppy when he works on things around our house! (Really, she loves to help anyone do things around the house.) She sorts the screws and hands him things as he needs them.
After Poppy was finished, Kamie thought it was such a fun place to play. She could climb in and out. She brought a ton of books into her bed and wanted to jump on it as well.
When it was time for bed tonight, she immediately wanted to get in her bed and read instead of rocking like usual. After we read and sang songs though, she got a little clingy. She decided she was ready to rock. :) We did our entire routine over again and even sang for a little extra time. (I actually enjoyed it, because I wasn't ready for her to go to bed without rocking! :) ) She went right to bed and has been there ever since. I'm hoping it lasts all night! I'm also hoping she doesn't completely destroy her room when she gets up in the morning! haha!!
